CO's Remarks
2 RIFLES is a battalion ready for deployment on the full range of tasks, from warfighting to homeland resilience. Its soldiers are impressively motivated, highly professional, physically fit, close-knit and happy in both their trade and in their lives more broadly; they are driven by an unquenchable desire to be the very best that they can be, seeking, as a team, to fulfil their potential and to drive innovation and improvement in all areas both within the battalion but also in the wider Army. The battalion is led by commanders and a staff who are united, compassionate and dedicated; they care deeply for their soldiers, maintain a broad perspective and a healthy work-life balance. Supporting the battalion is a wide community of families, friends and organisations (both military and civilian) who feel properly valued, well connected and able to meaningfully contribute.

Padres Thoughts
"Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out".Proverbs 10:9 The passage highlights the importance of integrity, both as a core value of the British Army and as a moral principle. Integrity is described as the foundation from which other values—Courage, Discipline, Respect for others, Loyalty, and Selfless Commitment (CDRILS)—flow. In the Bible, integrity signifies moral wholeness and alignment between beliefs and actions, even at personal cost, exemplified by Jesus. Living with integrity provides security and a clear conscience, while a lack of it can lead to exposure and consequences. The passage concludes by encouraging individuals to committed to such values, starting with integrity, in order to serve effectively and successfully.
